In the exhibition where geometric figurations were presented, the figurations were verbalised as follows:

Describing or depicting an ambiance, an incident, a creature, an image and a notion in a way that boosts their specific qualifications means geometric figuration. Artistic (impressionist) imagery is a type of imagery that emotions and subjectivity dominate. The aim here is to picture the depicted creature or object in imagination. Geometry and art are the two fields that are interrelated and support each other. Usage of geometry in art has been continuing for centuries. The whole initial geometry, by its nature, is intuitional. They are natural figures seen around the primitive people. This geometry is mostly visual. Geometric patterns occupy an important place in Turkish Adornment Art. Especially in Seljuk era, geometric forms were very common. Forms that are composed with geometric shapes such as square, rectangle, triangle, circle, polygon, diamond line and pentacle, and symbolize eternity of the universe were used. These forms are seen as important elements of geometric layout. Originating from geometric forms of Seljuk, compositions were done by selecting forms that are gathered by styling, and that creates oneness in style constituing integrity. Described with installation art Kaftan was also represented in the exhibition. The works are based on rendering of the perpesctive of Seljuk geometry using textile materials and to be grounded on artistic disipline in the framework of visual culture. The exhibition will run until February 25, 2017 in Marmara University Rectorship Sultanhamet Cumhuriyet Art Gallery.
