Marmara University Urban Problems and Local Administrations Research Center (KEYEM) Exhibition
The inauguration of the three-sided research exhibition on migration, refugee and social cohesion during 2017 took place on Tuesday, November 7, at 13:00.
Umraniye Municipality Vice President Türkan Öztürk, Women and Family Manager Tuğba Kızıltan, Provincial Director of Family and Social Policy Ministry Nail Nogay, Kadıköy Municipality Social Support Service Manager Şenay Gül and many other important names and academicians as well as immigrants from different countries attended to the opening ceremony held in the Sultanahmet Cumhuriyet museum.
The opening speech of the meeting was made by the Head of the Local Governments Department of the Faculty of Political Sciences Assoc. Aynur Atmaca Can PhD. Then, curator of the exhibition Assoc. Yasemin Cakirer Özservet PhD went up to the rostrum. Çakırer Özservet, who said that they have carried out studies about international migration for about 9 months, stated that we need serious research and politics for social harmony and that they carry out studies with this perspective. She emphasized how immigrants contribute to our economic life in the exhibition area.
The Country for Syria music group presented a music concert consisting of Turkish, Arabic and English songs.Tastes of Syria are prepared by Refugee Women's Refugee Cuisine to be served as treats.
The exhibition "İmtizac: Ayrış-madan Uyuma" partaking in Marmara University Sultanahmet Cumhuriyet can be visited until November 20th.
