Marmara University was ranked 13th  in the report announcing the top  fifty of the “2004-2014 Report Scientific Paper Performance”, which is prepared  with the aim to indicate  the point arrived at national and international science studies performance through the scientific publications and citation reports.    

As Tübitak  National Academic Network and Information Center explained, in the report entitled "Scientific Paper Performance of Turkish Universities : 2004-2014” in which international citation index of  Thomson, Reuters, InCites data bases are used,  only the top 50 universities’ scientific paper number was explained in accordance with the licence agreement.  In the study, the type of publication includes the following: article, analysis/ collection and note. According to this report,  the approximately 91% of the papers whose addresses belong to Turkey were published by the public and foundation universities and Navy, Army and Air Force Academies.
