Panel of ‘’96. Anniversary of Indepedence Anthem’’

The panel which was held in Göztepe Campus Dr. İbrahim Üzümcü Conference Hall started with stand in silence in memory of Mehmet Akif Ersoy and reading Independence March. Opening speech of the panel and session moderatorship was done by Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof. Sebahat Deniz. Later on, academician at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Principal of School of Foreign Languages Prof. Haluk Harun Duman made a presentation on ‘’Comparing the National Anthems with regard to Values’’. Academician at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Prof. Baki Asiltürk in his speech on ‘’Turkish Hearths Cult in Independence Anthem’’  laid emphasize on the importance of the ‘’turkish hearth’’ conception and the hearth cult in Independence Anthem. Academician at Atatürk Faculty of Education Assoc. Prof. Bülent Halvaşi in his presentation on ‘’Harmony between Lyrics and Melody in Independence Anthem’’ told about the past of our march and underlined that unity of poetic and composition harmony doesn’t exist in any other national anthems. At the end of the panel, panelists were handed out their certificates of appreciation because of their participation and later on pictures of the panelists as a whole were taken.
