Symposium on Occupational Health and Safety for Working at Height

The symposium held in the Faculty of Technology Conference Hall was attended by academic staff and students both of our university and the other universities and the representatives of the sector. At the symposium in  which the concept of “Occupational Health and Safety Culture” was dealed with, the presentations were made by the participants who are specialists and experienced in their fields, within the framework of rules and regulations. The Symposium began with the opening speech of  Assoc. Prof. Ayhan Onat, the Coordinator of Occupational Health and Safety Unit of Marmara University and continued with the protocol speeches of Vice Head of Department Istanbul Public Health Services Dr. Metin Özaydın and Istanbul Provincial Director of Social Security Institution Murat Göktaş.

The presentations titled “ Management System Implementations for Working at Height in Constructions”, Yasin Yıldız ; “ Market Euro Norm Directives”, Ertürk Ergenekon; “Last Status  in the Personal Protective Equipment Without Euronorm or  Including  Norm Violation in the Market”, Tuncay Yürü; “Implementations for Working At Heihgt”, Burak Çatakoğlu; “Scaffold Safety Practices”, Koray Özalp; “ Rescue Practices in Industrial Facilities”, Burak Çankaya; “Practices for Professional Competency  Examination”, Naci Kırtaş; “Design and Production of Safety Nets”,  Zafer İskenderoğlu  and “Responsibilites of the Partners”, Saim Ocak, were held in the symposium.  

In the end of the symposium that lasted all day, the attendees  were presented their Participation Certificates.
