The First SAP Next-Gen Laboratoire of Turkey Opened at Marmara University

Ann Rosenberg, Senior Vice President & Global Head of SAP Next- Gen,  Shelley Zalis, CEO of The Female Quotient, Sandra Moerch Petersen, Global Head of  SAP Next-Gen Brand, Talia Bender Small, Manager of The Female Quotient, were given a briefing  by SAP Specialist Onur Bekmezci and Dean Prof. Dr. Nuran Cömert about  the SAP-related teaching activities which are being carried out within the cooperation of SAP SE. Ann Rosenberg, saying that they appreciated the faculty’s applications, declared throughout all the world that Marmara University takes place in the SAP Universities List, by hanging  a plaque of the SAP Next-GEN  on the wall of the laboratoire, accompanied with Onur Bekmezci and Prof. Dr. Nuran Cömert.

The applied lesson  are offered besides theoretical information by the intagration of the curriculum of the different eight lessons  with  SAP applications in the Faculty of Business Administration,  Business information (Germany) Department.  Based on SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Intelligence and SAP Business Analytics, the modules of SAP LO ( Logistic – General), SAP MM ( Materials Management), SAP PP ( Production Plannig and Control), SAP SD ( Sale and Distribution), SAP LE (Logistics Execution), SAP FI (Financial Accounting), SAP CO ( Cost Accounting and Control),  SAP WM ( Warehouse Management), SAP BC ( Business Connector), SAP BW (Data Warehouse),  SAP BO- LUM ( Business Inteligence- Lumira), and SAP PAL (Predictive Analysis Library) have been integrated with the lessons. Our students are also offered the oppurtunity to write their thesis with SAP application within our faculty since 2015. In total, 456  students took lesson with SAP appplication since 2013-2014 academic year, 132 students wrote their thesis with SAP application. Besides, 219 of those students were entitled to take a sertificate of SAP University Alliance.

Ann Rosenburg and Shelly Zalis gave the conference titled “Making Innovation Work for Women and Girls” which was held within the social responsibility that is being carried out in cooperation with SAP and United Nations Organization.  Dean Prof. Dr. Nuran Cömert, administrators and lecturers of our faculty and students participated in that event discussing on the “Gender Equality”,  which is the one  of the most important factor of the sustainable development. In her presentation,  Shelley Zalis emphasized the importance of the potential that women have in the world economy. Zalis continued her speech with the striking datas about  gender inequality around the world.  Emphasizing that IQ which is known as analytic intelligence  are followed by the Emotional Quotient, and Female Quotient will be prominent  management intelligence of the future, Zalis said that this situation  is not related directly to the female or  male gender; there are two ways of feminine and masculine thinking; a lot of man having  feminine way of thinking  while women have masculin thinking. After  Zalis’ speech,  Ann Rosenberg told why they are partner to this project as SAP and  made evaluations about the SAP’s social sense of responsibility on a global scale.  In the end of the conference, Dean Prof. Dr. Nuran Cömert  presented plaquettes to Shelley Zalis and Ann Rosenberg for their participants and speeches.  The event ended with the family photo.
