Vice Rector of Marmara University Prof.Dr.Erol ÖZVAR received the Head Chase F.ROBINSON at the  breakfeast programme, which was organised in the Sultanahmet Campus, on 10 April, 2015 . Before the interview, Prof. Chase F. ROBINSON, Islamic Historian and  General Editor of the collection of “The New Camridge History of Islam” published by Camridge University in recent years,  gave the seminar on “Islamic Historiography ”. 

 

After the seminar,  Vice Rector Prof.Dr.Erol ÖZVAR and  lecturers  and  Delegation of City University of Newyork arrived at a consensus  on the matter that two university should work in the field of “History, Human and Social Sciences” including the scientific workshops, which one of them will be located  in  Newyork while the other will be in Istanbul.  The  preparatory workings were also evaluated  in order to carry out  the mobility for student and personnel and  mutual projects. Honorable ROBINSON, expressing that he was impressed by the hosting and dynamism of our university, said “We are desire to collaborate  in the scientific and cultural  issues  that were  agreed upon with Marmara University”.

The seminar programme that was held with the participation of scientists  was ended with exchange ideas and question and answer.
