Youth and Volunteer Cooperation Protocol was signed with the Ministry of Youth and Sports

Minister of Youth and Sports M. Muharrem Kasapoğlu and the rectors of five universities who were stakeholders of the project signed the protocol on 31 July. In the meeting, Minister Kasapoğlu said, “With this cooperation, we will enable  our students to gain social responsibility and volunteering awareness and we hope that our students can use their academic knowledge and competences correctly.”

Marmara University, Istanbul University, Istanbul Technical University, Yildiz Technical University and Medeniyet University are participating as stakeholders in this project. The protocol, organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aims to enable university students to participate more actively in volunteering activities. By gaining social responsibility and volunteerism awareness, our university students are expected to use their academic knowledge and competences for the benefit of society.

Within the scope of the project, through activities of the “Youth Center Office” that is going to be established on the campus of Marmara University, it is planned to support the fulfillment of the social and cultural services needed by large segments of the society.
