EPILEPSY RESEARCH CENTER

The mission and the objectives of the center are to;

Monitor current scientific developments concerning epilepsy, administer fundamental and clinical research studies, and to gather data, and to draw conclusions from research findings, support all research studies, and to provide vocational training to all staff, conduct studies to overcome the problems yielded by epilepsy, cooperate with other national and international scientific institutions conducting biological and clinical studies relevant to epilepsy, provide funding for research and development, reward staff taking part in research studies, hold conferences, seminars, symposiums concerning medical research and development on epilepsy, and publicize the findings and conclusions of such gatherings, participate in all activities provided by public and private institutions that aim to take public cognizance, issue all types of research studies, scientific report, bulletin, project, book, journal etc., provide educational facilities to teachers and students through cooperation with the Ministry of Education, provide consultancy and expertise, facilitate the improvement of national health care quality through research and applications on epilepsy and health care, fulfill tasks given by the Rector of the Marmara University.
