A First from Marmara University for Sight-Disabled Individuals

The courses,which will be given by Dr. Engin Yılmaz, Informatic Accessibility Commission Member, Boğaziçi University Academic Member and GETEM Liable.  The social responsibilities will be carried out to contribute to the social problems’ solution with these lessons. Sight-disabled individuals will access to informations, trainings, navigations and similar services through informatic technology. It will provide convenience and independence to their life. Commission President Halis Kuralay, Emin Demirci, experts in their depermants, and Microsoft Software Accessibility Expert Hasan Özdemir contribute to lessons as guests. Also the interest of students were intense to it. After making remarks, the first curriculum in Turkey will turn into presentation. It is planing to generalise its introduction to the many universities by Informatic Accessbility Commission.

On 23 February 2018, the managers of Marmara Unviersity Faculty of Engineering and Coordinatorship of the Department of Disabled Students came together and expressed their pride in starting these courses as the educational institution working not only for institutional purposes but also for social benefit.
