Four Awards to Marmara University in TRT Future Communicators Competition

The 5th Future Communicators Competition, organized by TRT to support young communicators, was held on July 3rd at Tepebaşı Studios. The awards were given to the winners.

With the aim of supporting Turkey’s education, culture, art life and publishing; sharing corporate knowledge and experience with young people; contributing to the activities of university students who will be the communicators of tomorrow and encouraging them within the scope of the educational activities, the competition was held in four principal branches. 

Undergradute students who are receving education in the field of communication in the universities located in Turkish Republic of Nothern Cyprus and Central Asian countries also attended as well as Turkey. 

1021 students from 52 universities applied with a total of 738 works to this competition consisting of Radio Broadcasting, Television Broadcasting, News Publishing and Internet branches. 

TRT Chairman and General Manager İbrahim Eren, who made the opening speech of the award ceremony, said: "Chance is to be prepared for opportunities." He emphasized that they wanted to make young communicators lucky through  competition.

The project coordinator Assoc. Prof. Ali Murat Kırık attended the award ceremony. Tunahan Erkan, Buse Erel, Sefa Tugay Günaydın  won the first prize with “New Disease of the Age: Nomophobia” in Television News category; Zeynep Can won the 3rd prize with “Marmara Radio Prime News” in the Radio News category; Yasin Yavuz won the 2nd prize with “ Yapımböyle Film” in the  Social Media Project category; Akcan Gündem won the 3rd  prize with “Vaziyet” in the Short Film category. 

The award ceremony ended with the taking of commemorative photos of İbrahim Eren, Director General and Chairman of TRT; Erkan Dudu, Deputy Director General of TRT  and award wining students .
