Marmara University Is At the NAFSA for the 4th Time

The theme of the fair that was  held this year in the city of Washington, U.S.A, was Leadership, Learning and Change. Organized with the coordination of the  Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK), Education Economics Business Council (EEİK) and the Turkish Maarif Foundation between the dates of 26-31 May 2019, NAFSA was attended by Marnara University under the roof of the “Study in Turkey”, besides  15 state and foundation universities. Marmara University was represented by Secretary General Murat Arısal, Director of International Relations and Academic Cooperation Office Prof.Dr. Nuri Tinaz, Assistant Director Lecturer Dr. Member Ömer Mert Denizci and Emel Özel Çal.

More than 10,000 visitors attended the fairs and conferences, which are organized to evaluate the different perspectives between Turkish universities and higher education institutions of 140 countries, to establish new collaborations and to be aware of developments in different fields.

Embassy of the Republic of Turkey held an iftar dinner  in order to meet with officials from universities and institutions in Turkey. Turkish reception and the Turkish night organized by the Turkish delegation were highly appreciated among the participants and the visit of Marmara University to the “Study in the Korea” and bilateral talks made significant contributions to the promotion of  Turkey and Turkish Higher Education. In addition, Marmara University officials visited Romania, Hungary, Poland, Czechia, Russia, India and China and exchanged ideas on increasing bilateral agreements. Turkish delegation continued also their contacts by participating in the invitations organized by the Consulates of Russia and Germany.
