Opening Ceremony of İŞKUR Service Point at Marmara University

Ruth Halle from the Turkish-German Cooperation Agency opened the seminar which was about the cooperation made with the aim of including Marmara University students to employment. Yunus Yelmen, Istanbul Provincial Director of Labor and Employment Agency, Coordinator of MARKAM (Marmara University Career Center) Prof. Dr. Berat Bir, MEZOF (Marmara University Alumni Office) Coordinator Assoc. Prof.Dr. Bülent Yılmaz and HR Manager Merve Aydın from My Staff Company participated in the seminar as speakers.

Yunus Yelmen, the Provincial Director of Labor and Employment Agency, said that İŞKUR is carrying out studies to provide employment in our country. He added that the 638 employees in their organization were provided ‘’business coaching’’ services in order to provide better service to both job seekers and employers. He said that the  İSKUR , which received  2018 more than 1 million applications in Turkey in 2018, wants to include university students to employment. He mentioned that  IŞKUR Plus Service Point opened in collaboration with the University of Marmara will have a team which aims to provide students with the vacancies in the general of Turkey.

Coordinator of MARKAM Dr. Berat Bir said they are in cooperation with İŞKUR and will sign beautiful works. He talked about the activities to bring MARKAM and Marmara University students together with various companies. MARKAM gave information about the Career Summit and Fair to be held on 4-5 May, 2019.

MEZOF Coordinator Assoc. Dr. Bülent Yılmaz said that this project was implemented for the first time in Istanbul and added that they would always support it. Saying that  competitive environment in today's conditions is tough, he said "ISKUR cooperation will be a road map for our students and  success can be achieved with the right orientation".

My Staff Firm HR Specialist Merve Aydın explained that My Staff has been a human resources company since 2001, which provides employment for personnel. Working with  Marmara University and İŞKUR, Aydın said they provide students  with part-time job opportunities and to establish  a network, by putting them together institutions.
