The Youth in the Court for Heart Health

Having conducted by Atherosclerosis Research Center (HİPAM). “The Youth in the Court for Heart Health” Tennis Project has been done, which was prepared with the support of Young Innovative Health Care Providers Club (GİSK), HİPAM and Turk Hearth Foundation to support Student Heart Health Project.

The tennis lessons in “The Youths in the Court for Heart Health” Tennis Project were given by GİSK Head National Tennis Player Erem Akyurt. The tournament was made after practical lessons about basis tennis exercises, agility exercises, forehand and backhand hits, dribble with a racket, ball-racket movements, serving and reception technics and match training. The players ranking the highest obtained their awards and cups from Board Member of Marmara University Hypertension and Atherosclerosis Training, Research, and Implementation Center (HİPAM) and Dean of M.U. Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Ş. Güniz Küçükgüzel PhD.

GİSK Club Advisor Lecturer Nuran Akyurt PhD gave information about “The Youths in the Court for Heart Health”. She said “We gave an opportunity to 23 students, who wanted to play more tennis and meet tennis sport,  and chose them as project beneficiaries. It is determined as official sports activity of United Nations, Education, Science and Culture Institution, UNESCO Turkey National Committee. This activity has been recorded by UNESCO Turkey National Committee. Nongovernmental organizations as Rotary gave full support to perform our project activities.”
