Young Innovative Health Care Providers Club At The Pink Festival

The number of people who have breast cancer in Turkey has increased by 2.5 times in the last 20 years. MEMEDER, aiming to raise awareness of breast cancer, carried out the Pink Festival in October, the month of Breast Health Awareness Month. The Pink Festival was held on  October 8-9,2017 at Çıragan Palace Kempinski Istanbul. Within the festival, Young Innovative Health Care Providers Club (GİSK) team consisting of Abdullah Enes Yüzügüller, Ebrar Yiğit, Güler Yıldırım, Sevgül Ulutaş, Yilmaz Baran, Erem Akyurt, Merve Pugar and Çağla Çetinkaya conducted Mammography Screening at T.C. The Pink Princess Mammography rig  under the chairmanship of Assist.Assoc. Nuran Akyurt PhD for women over 40 years old. During the festival, the members of the Young Innovative Health Care Providers Club colored a giant pink ribbon at the mandala dyeing workshop and participated in cup and bag painting activities to produce decorative objects. In addition to giving information on breast cancer, the festival laid emphasis on awareness of breast cancer , cancer was not an end, 95 percent of early detection and survival chances, and emphasis on self-care. Women also spent pleasant moments in participating social activities. Famous names such as Işıl Yücesoy, Burcu Kara, Ayşe Tolga, Ayşe Kulin, Taylan Kümeli and Zeynep Talu supported the festival. The festival ended with collective photo shoots after the members of the Young Innovative Health Care Providers Club received their certificates from the Head of the Memeder and Festival Chairman Ülkü Büyükgöneç.
