The aim and duties of the centre are as follow;

To determine the spread of herbs/plants in Turkey that are raised naturally and have medical and economic value,
To prevent the destruction and extinction of our plants that are collected from nature by a variety of institutions and individuals and exported,
To establish greenhouses, gardens and field to produce seeds and bulbs for plants that have medical and economic use,
To establish fish farms to increase fresh and salt water fish production,
To spread activities associated with natural plants and water products throughout the country and to educate local people in these matters.
