7. International Student Triennial

The International Student Triennial organized by Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts for the first time in 1997 is now held for the seventh time under the heading "Temporality-Differences and Beyond". 42 institutions from 12 countries attended to Trienal ,whose opening events held on 12-16 June,2017. Up to the present, the Triennial has hosted 172 institutions from 59 countries.

The  Triennial which is organized with the participation of Faculty of Fine Arts and Design in Turkey along with the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design around the World, enables young people, prepared for the international art and design environment, to establish an intensive network of communication and interaction, and gives important clues about the future of art and design education around the world.

The Triennial  succeeded in making innovations  over time.Workshops that are initiated for the first time in the 6th Trienal by Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts of Prof. İnci Deniz Ilgın, enabled the Triennial to go beyond  from being a weekly event to spread through whole academic year. Throughout the year, students have had the opportunity to meet a large number of creative workshops, nationally and internationally.

The Triennial has been transformed into a massive workshop this year with the workshops of the faculty in Acibadem Campus, in the domestic and foreign educational institutions and on the online environment. A total of 77 workshops have been held so far included the past Triennal , where 39 workshop projects from domestic and international  have been completed.

The Triennial  will be on display until July 12th at the Art Gallery Istanbul, the Art Gallery of the Depths, the Kare Art Gallery, the Russo Art Gallery Istanbul and the Kadıköy Municipality Youth Art Center Gallery, as well as the university’s Republic Museum Gallery and the main gallery and floors of the faculty.
