Professor  Hans Georg Majer of Munich University met with students within the seminar. He shared his studies on comparative intellectual and scientific history at the seminar.  

Professor Hans Georg Majer is known for his studies on 17th century Ottoman political history, diplomacy, ilmiye organization, social and economic situation of ulema, ulema-state and al-iqayih-state relations, primarily  intellectual biography he prapared about Uşakizade who is author of Zeyl-I Şakayık.

Majer was the president of the Institute for Near East Culture, History and Turcology for many years and then he retired.

The seminar, in which students actively participated, proceeded as a question and answer. The event  sheded  light on young researchers for new areas of research.
