Digital Games Panel

A large number of academicians participated in the panel organized with the cooperation of the Ataturk Education Faculty, Preschool Education Department and Kadıköy Municipality.

Prof. Dr .Ayla Oktay of Maltepe University undertook the panel chairmanship. Our academician Lecturer Işık Kamaraj made a presentation entitled "Turkey-World Gaming Day in History".  In her presentation, she talked about the activities and steps taken to develop these activities. Lecturer of Pamukkale University Prof. Dr. Nesrin Erdoğan Işıkoğlu informed the participants about the game and digital world with the presentation ‘’OBI: The Game is Our Business and Digital World’’. Pamukkale University academician Lecturer Emel Tok  brought a new perspective to the changing game world with his presentation ‘’Enhanced Reality and Digital Games.’’

Lecturer Prof.Dr. Nesrin Özdener Dönmez of Marmara University highlighted the importance of coding education and the impact of this education on adolescent child with her presentation entitled ‘’ Coding Education in Adolescent Childhood’’. Lecturer Atiye Adak of Pamukkale University talked about the threats brought by digital games with the presentation entitled “Risks Carried Out by Digital Games.’’ She emphasized the measures to be taken against these threats. University of Balıkesir Research Assistant  Dilan Bayındır gave an insight into how to protect and control our children on digital games with her presentation entitled “Responsibilities of Educators and Parents in Digital Games.” Research Asisstant  Volkan Kanburoğlu gave information about how technology can be used in preschool children with the presentation of “Technology Use in Preschool Period.’’

Panel, continuing with the question-answer section, ended after the appreciations.
