Hacettepe University Faculty of Letters Department of Turkish Folklore academic member Prof. Gülay Mirzaoğlu made a speech entitled “Folk Ballads from Story to Song” in the event Prof. Mirzaoğlu attended as guest. Prof. Mirzaoğlu mentioned the progress of “narrative folk ballads” covering story and plectrum and Turkish culture specific connotation of symbols in the folk ballads. After Prof. Mirzaoğlu’s speech, TRT Istanbul Radio THM Youth Choir vocal and instrument artists Cihan Eroğlu, Emre Akbaş, Çağrıbey Özçolak and Hakan Yaşar performed folk ballad recital.
