Marmara University Science, Culture and Art Events Began

Science, Culture and Art Events hosted by Marmara University Rectorate began with M.U. Turkish Music Ensemble’s first concert that was prepared and directed by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Uslu on November 20, 2018.


The opening speech of the event was held by Rector of Marmara University Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar. Rector Özvar began his speech by saying "Marmara University is only institution continuing its education, training and research activities in Sultanahmet Campus".  He continued his speech saying : “From this point, as a university, we are glad to have such a campus and to carry out science, culture and art activities in this place. It is a pleasure to make the first of those events accompanied by the Turkish Music Ensemble, Marmara University. This is the first cultural and artistic event. I want to express my thanks to all participants, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Uslu for his contribution and all artists performing this ensemble, in front all of you.  I hope we will plan to organize these events in the last week of each month during all this year. Our statemans, artists and scientists declared they want to absolutely participate in these events at the following times. So, those events are very important on behalf of our university.  As Rector of Marmara University, I want to express that  these events will be always  supported by me. Also, scientifical events and workshop studies will be held in here in every week, for two or three times.  With this occasion, I want to extend my thanks again to our artists, my  dear work friends and all participants”.

In the end of the concert, Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar presented a flower bouquet to Prof.Dr. Mustafa Uslu. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Uslu thanked to Marmara University Administration and all audiences.  The programme ended with memory photo including university administrators and members of the ensemble.
