A cooperation protocol covering education, research, and service areas was signed and entered into force on July 2 between Marmara University and the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services.

Thanks to the protocol signed by Marmara University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt and Istanbul Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Ömer Turan, the parties aim to carry out activities to support the development of children, the elderly, and individuals with special needs, to provide vocational training for institutional staff, and to organize joint scientific events.

Within the scope of the protocol, relevant faculties and research centers of Marmara University will offer psychoeducation, counseling, developmental monitoring, and social activity support to individuals residing in institutions affiliated with the Directorate. In addition, in-service training will be provided for professional staff, along with expert contributions in areas such as disaster awareness, media literacy, and digital competencies.
