Thirty-three students who ranked in the top 1,000 of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) and enrolled in Marmara University this academic year were hosted by Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur in his office on October 21, 2026.
Meeting individually with the students placed across various faculties and departments, Rector Okur engaged in conversation, inquired about their academic backgrounds, and congratulated them on their outstanding achievements.
Highlighting Marmara University’s deep-rooted history and the accomplishments of its alumni across various fields, Rector Okur emphasized that graduates holding prominent roles in arts, politics, healthcare, and many other sectors continue to add value to the nation. He expressed his wish for the students to continuously improve themselves throughout their education and achieve significant success in the future.
At the end of the visit, Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur presented the students with certificates of appreciation. The program concluded with a commemorative group photo.
