Marmara University and the Türkiye Food Industry Employers' Association (TÜGİS) signed an Academic and Research & Development (R&D) Cooperation Protocol to strengthen collaboration in the fields of education, research and development (R&D), and practical applications. The protocol aims to bring the University's academic expertise together with the food industry and facilitate the implementation of joint projects.
Within the scope of the protocol, the parties will develop joint R&D projects, expand internship and industry experience opportunities for students, and organize joint conferences, seminars, and training programs. Additionally, it aims to facilitate the shared use of laboratory and research infrastructures, joint project applications for national and international funds, patent and commercial product development efforts, and the strengthening of university-industry collaboration.
Through this protocol, Marmara University is expected to enhance its scientific output by integrating its research capacity with industry, expand hands-on learning opportunities for students, and strengthen its collaboration with stakeholders in the food sector.
