The Marmara Flute Orchestra (MFO), established in 2015 within Marmara University, has been awarded first prize in the “Ensemble of the Year” category at the 2025 Global Flute Excellence Awards (presented by Flute Almanac), one of the most prestigious international platforms in the flute world.

Operating entirely on a volunteer basis, the Marmara Flute Orchestra has crowned its 10th anniversary in 2025 with this significant international achievement. The orchestra was recognized by the international jury as the most successful ensemble in its field, thanks to its sustainable and inclusive initiatives within the flute community.

Through regular concerts, recording projects, competitions and educational events, Marmara Flute Orchestra has established a strong flute network across Turkey and continues to successfully represent Turkey on both  national and international platforms.
