Marmara University, with the support of the Alumni Office (MEZOF), hosted a significant and meaningful event that brought together alumni from a wide range of fields. The program, aimed at bringing together alumni who have achieved significant successes in their respective sectors and have continued to strengthen their ties with Marmara University, was held on Wednesday, April 15, at the Genç Ofis in the Göztepe Campus. The event was attended by Marmara University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ayşin Satan, Alumni Office Coordinator Prof. Dr. Bülent Yılmaz, as well as numerous distinguished alumni from various fields.
Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur: “We Will Build Strong Bonds with Our Alumni”
Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur emphasized the importance of strengthening the bond between the university and its alumni. Highlighting Marmara’s rich history, Okur stated that they aim to build a “family bond” among alumni, students, and faculty members.
Rector Okur noted that alumni could play a guiding role for the university through the experience they have gained in various sectors, and highlighted the importance of increasing mutual cooperation and communication. Rector Prof. Dr. Okur stated that the program serves as a starting point for stronger and more sustainable interaction between the university and its alumni.
Bonds Among Alumni Strengthened
In his opening remarks at the Marmara University alumni reunion, Prof. Dr. Bülent Yılmaz, Coordinator of the Marmara University Alumni Office, noted that the long-planned event aimed to bring alumni back together. Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Yılmaz explained that the event aimed to strengthen alumni ties with the university and build a bridge between the past and the present. During the program, Bülent Yılmaz provided information about MEZOF and shared details about ongoing projects in his presentation.
The event, designed to strengthen communication among alumni and increase the exchange of experiences, offered participants the opportunity to both expand their professional networks and reinforce their ties with the university, and concluded with a group photo session.
