Marmara University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Signed Joint Laboratory Protocol

Marmara University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), operating in the People's Republic of China, have signed a cooperation protocol to establish a joint laboratory in the field of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies. The signing ceremony, held on Monday, December 15, at the Marmara University Rectorate building, was attended by Marmara University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ümit Süleyman Şehirli, Rector's Advisor Prof. Dr. Yusuf Kaynak, and Assistant Director of the Office of International Relations and Academic Cooperation Lect.Dr.  Hatice Gökçen Öcal Özkaya.

From Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Huang Binghui, Dean of the Faculty of Basic Sciences Prof. Dr. Jiang Yanlong, Director of the International Relations Office Wang Jing, and Acting Dean Responsible for International Education Shen Nan attended the ceremony.

Under the signed protocol, the Joint Laboratory focused on Advanced Manufacturing Technologies will be established to conduct collaborative research in sustainable manufacturing, precision manufacturing technologies, surface engineering, and additive manufacturing. Within the framework of a five-year roadmap, the partnership aims to carry out scientific research, international cooperation projects, graduate student exchanges, and joint project management activities. The Joint Advanced Manufacturing Laboratory will be led by Prof. Dr. Ding Wenfeng on the NUAA side, while Prof. Dr. Yusuf Kaynak from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Marmara University’s Faculty of Technology will serve as the coordinator for the Marmara University side.
