Marmara University ranked first among higher education institutions receiving the highest grant support within the scope of the Erasmus+ Learning Mobility of Individuals (KA131) program, carried out by the European Union and the Turkish National Agency.
According to the 2025 grant distribution results announced by the Turkish National Agency, Marmara University was awarded the highest grant among 268 higher education institutions and consortia that applied for the Erasmus+ KA131 program. Marmara University was followed by Ankara University, Yıldız Technical University, and Istanbul Technical University.
Having joined the Erasmus+ program as a pilot university in 2003, Marmara University has since provided hundreds of its students and numerous academic and administrative staff with opportunities to study abroad and pursue professional development. Particularly since 2010, the university has maintained its status as the institution receiving the highest and steadily increasing grant support among higher education institutions in Turkey.
With this significant achievement, Marmara University continues in the 2025 cycle to offer its students opportunities for study and internships abroad, while also providing its academic and administrative personnel with the means to enhance their international competencies and acquire professional skills.
