Marmara University Signs Graduate Education Cooperation Protocol with CoHE and TUSAŞ

Within the scope of the “Graduate Education Cooperation Protocols” signed among universities, the Council of Higher Education (CoHE), and Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TUSAŞ) under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries, Marmara University signed a significant protocol as part of the strategic cooperation carried out in the field of graduate education between higher education and the defence industry. The signing ceremony held at TUSAŞ was attended by Marmara University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur, CoHE President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, Defense Industry President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, TUSAŞ General Manager Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu, President of the Defense Industry Academy Prof. Dr. Cenk Aktaş, and the rectors of the universities party to the protocol. At the ceremony, the rectors of eight universities, including Prof. Dr. Okur, signed cooperation protocols for postgraduate education.

Protocols signed by Marmara University, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Ankara University, Fırat University, Gazi University, Gebze Technical University, Hacettepe University, Istanbul Technical University, and Yıldız Technical University aim to integrate the academic expertise of universities with the industry's practical and field experience, thereby establishing a structured, planned, and sustainable framework for university-industry collaboration.

Within the scope of the protocol, it is aimed to recognize vocational and technical trainings conducted within TUSAŞ as credit-bearing courses in cooperation with universities, to enable expert TUSAŞ personnel to serve as instructors in undergraduate and graduate programs, and to implement master's (with and without thesis) and doctoral programs in line with the needs of the defense industry.
