24 November Teachers' Day Was Celebrated at Marmara University

Marmara University Teachers' Day Celebration Program was held on 24 November 2021 at Göztepe Campus. The ceremony was attended by Marmara University Rector Prof. Dr. It started with Mustafa Kurt and the university administrators with him laying wreaths in front of the Atatürk Monument.

After the moment of silence and the National Anthem held at the İbrahim Üzümcü Conference Hall, the ceremony continued with the speeches of  Prof. Dr. Seyfi Kenan, Dean of the Atatürk Faculty of Education, and Rector Prof. Dr.Mustafa Kurt.

In his speech, Rector Kurt said, “In order for the existing human resources to reach the qualifications that will serve the development of our country, we train our teacher candidates not only as instructors who convey information; we should aim to raise individuals who can provide scientific research infrastructure, transfer their digital literacy equipment to their students, carry universal human values ​​and share them with their students, respect differences and teach their students that differences are richness. As a university, we will do our part in all these matters to the best of our ability.” said.

After the opening speeches, the films “Teacher for Me” and “A Memoir of Teachers' Day” were screened. The program continued with the show "Emotions in Teaching" prepared by Tunç Akkoç. Lastly, the program, which included the concert performed by the Marmara University Turkish Music Ensemble under the direction of Mustafa Uslu, was watched with interest and admiration by a large audience. After the ceremony, the Teachers' Day Workshop Archives Student Exhibition prepared by Atatürk Education Faculty was visited collectively.
