The project titled “Don’t Keep Your Eyes Shut, Protect Yourself Inside and  Don't Let Your Guard Down”, in order to raise awareness of Women's Health and Breast Self-Examination of our university students and their mothers,   was performed on May 9, Mother's Day, in the result of a collaboration with the Breast Health Association (MEMEDER).

In that project,  carried out with the aim of emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis in breast cancer and breast self-examination and supervised by Lect. Dr. Nuran Akyurt at Marmara University Health Services Vocational School Medical Imaging Techniques Program, first-year student Aslıhan Elbaş took part.

In order to raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and breast self-examination in breast cancer for our students and their mothers who cannot go to the hospital for their breast routine checks during the pandemic process;  pink ribbons, informative brochures, mirrors were delivered to families' addresses with the cargo company.  

Then, on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at 16: 00-17: 00, Memeder Board Member Nuran Akyurt held an online workshop on a breast model (special model) after giving information on “early diagnosis in breast cancer and breast self-examination. A Memeder t-shirt was presented to 3 people who ranked in the online evaluation exam at the end of the workshop.
