The opening of the photography exhibition of "15 July Commemoration of the Day of Democracy and National Unity " took place at Marmara University Sultanahmet Complex Republic Museum Art Gallery.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çelen, Prof. Dr. Ömer Akgiray, Secretary General Murat Arısal, Head of the Health Culture and Sports Department  Hasan Şahin and university members.

As part of the exhibition, a documentary called "The Resistance of the Hearts" was screened, together with photographs documenting the stunning scenes of the night of July 15. The documentary, co-produced by  Assoc.Prof. Kübra Güran Yiğitbaşı, who is also Coordinator of Corporate Communication of Marmara University, and Rengin Gültekin, and directed by Rengin Gültekin, tells the story of 6 heroes who resisted the coup attempt of the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) on the night of July 15. The exhibition can be visited in the Republic Museum Art Gallery between 14 - 17 July.
