Marmara University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur congratulated academics who have demonstrated outstanding achievement prior to the Senate Meeting held at the Sultanahmet Campus on Tuesday, January 6.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen, Marmara University, Faculty of Medicine, was awarded the TÜBİTAK Science Award in the field of Health Sciences as part of the 2025 Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council (TÜBİTAK) Science, Special, Service, and Incentive Awards.

Prof. Dr. Arzu Al, Marmara University,  Faculty of Political Sciences, received the globally successful scientist award within the scope of the IKSAD Science Awards, which were accepted by the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) and the Inter-University Council  and held for the 16th time this year.

Marmara University achieved the success of ranking among the top three in the Accessible University Ranking with 19 Program Badges.

In recognition of these achievements, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen, Prof. Dr. Arzu Al, and Zuhal Özgenç Pek, Lecturer and Coordinator of the Disabled Student Unit, who contributed to the work in the field of Accessible Universities, were congratulated by Marmara University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur. Certificates of appreciation and plaques were presented to the awardees by Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Okur and Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Gül Üstün and Prof. Dr. Ümit Süleyman Şehirli.
