The panel entitled "Assessment of Services for Disabled Persons and Autism Action Plan" due to World Disabled Day was held in Dr. İbrahim Üzümcü Conference Hall on 1.12.2017,in cooperation with the Federation of Autism and Disabled Persons Association, headed by Marmara University Coordinator of Disabled Student Unit and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Usta, who is the Faculty Member of Theology Faculty. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akalın, who is the Vice-Chancellor, also attended to the panel.

The deceased Professor of Faculty of Engineering Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering Dr. Ayhan Mergen's name was given to the "BOREN R & D Center" established in the BOR Institute. The new name of the center has become "BOREN Prof. Dr. Ayhan Mergen R & D Center".
