The International Conference titled “Kutadgu Bilig- the Great Monument of World Turkic Studies: Topical Problems of Its Study” will be held on November 27-28.
With the participation of partner universities, the opening ceremony will be broadcast on YouTube on November 27; and the plenary session and subsequent speeches will be served on the Zoom platform on November 28.
The opening ceremony will be attended by Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar, Rector of Marmara University, Assoc. Prof. Bilal Çakıcı, Deputy Secretary-General of TURKSOY, Prof.Dr. Yunus Koç, Hacettepe University Director of Turkology Institute, Prof. Dr. Mürteza Demir, Istanbul University Rector’s Advisor, Prof.Dr. Hicabi Kırlangıç, Ankara University’s Vice-Rector.
‘World Significance of the Kutadgu Bilig and the Aims of its Studying Facing Modern Academicians; Source Study and Textual Study of the Manuscripts “Kutadgu Bilig”; The Legacy of Yusuf Khass Hajib and the Development of Eastern Civilization and Philosophical Thought; Literary Monuments that Served as a Source of Inspiration for Khass Hajib and the Development of the Writer’s Traditions in Eastern Literature; Poetics, Peculiarities of the Language and Style of the Kutadgu Bilig’ will be discussed in the symposium, which will be held in five sessions.
Prof. Dr. Gülden Sağol Yüksekkaya, a lecturer at Marmara University Department of Turkish Language and Literature, will be a speaker in the second session of the symposium.
