" International Symposium of Fine Arts Education- Sociology Interaction "

Hosted by Istanbul Turkish Music Association and Foundations Solidarity Council (Muzdak) and Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty, Department of Fine Arts Education  in Istanbul in the scope of "24.Istanbul Turkish Music Festival"," " International Symposium of Fine Arts Education- Sociology Interaction’’ started on Wednesday, May 10, 2017  at İbrahim Uzumcu Cultural Center.

The opening speeches were made by President of Muzdak Asst. Assoc. Dr. Prof. Göktan Ay, Fine Arts Education Department Dr. Mustafa Uslu and Atatürk Education Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. A. Şükrü.

By talking about the preparation of the festival and the point it came;Ay meantioned that they are improved by sharing and trying to spread the qualitiy .Explaining that they helped to exhibit academic works, Ay said that Müzdak declarations will be printed by the Dean's Office until the end of the year and will be delivered to the declaration holders and relevant authorities. Following the speech of Ay, Müzdak's presentation was performed on film.

Professor Dr. Mustafa Uslu mentioned the importance of education and the impact of music education on society. Speaking of socio-cultural influences of music, Uslu thanked the guests and expressed his wish for a successful symposium.

Professor Dr. A. Şükrü Özdemir emphasized the importance of education by stating that the symposiums are the best fields in which academicians share their works.Professor Ozdemir said "General education and music education in it is our special field, we have a very successful team as far as we can see, this is the third concert held in the last few months, I congratulate the students and I wish the symposiums to go successful."

After the speeches, the orchestra composed of students, under the conductorship of Prof.Mustafa Uslu, performed 3 folk poems with Ozan Nyofu Tyson’s and Aşık Ali Sultan’s baglamas. The opening ceremony ended with the presentation of plaque of thanks.

On the second day of the symposium, Azerbaijani guests gave a piano-tar concert, and Aziz Ali Elyağutu performed an accordion show. The live program which performed by the team of "Çal Sazım Çal"tv program, which was broadcasted on TRT Music and received the Müzdak’"2017 / Best THM Program Award of the Year" ,was enthusiastically watched by the participants .

Some of the topics in the symposium sessions were as follows: Musical Teaching and Music Education, Virtual Truth: Establishment Story of a Musical Museum, Socio-Cultural Effects of  Musical Activities made by Music Teacher Candidates ,An Overview of the History of Tar Art in Azerbaijan, Nart Lyrics Karachay and Balkarlar, 17.century instruments and instrumentalist  according to travel book of Evliya Celebi, English/Turkish interpretation of Turkish poets’ Words,Poems,Syllables without losing meaning with the impression of Jazz and Blues. The Place of the Art Philosophy in the Education of Fine Arts ,THO Department's Recommendations for Quality Studies and Accreditation Processes, Turkish Folk Dances in Transition to Cultural Performance from Performing Arts, The Need of Performing Diction / Voice and Speaking Lessons with Phonetic Science,Music Education; "Thinking" and "Action": Plato, Aristo and A. Nasır Dede , Evaluation of the Theater Departments of Universities in terms of Educational Models.
