Prof. Dr. Tuğba TUNALI, a lecturer in the  Department of Biochemistry,  Faculty of Dentistry, was awarded the Silver Medal for her invention named “The Filter Removing Harmful Substances In Breast Milk” in  the Korea International Women’s  Invention Exposition.

The invention named “The Filter Removing Harmful Substances  In Breast Milk” is about  the filter which can dialyse  any  food additives, hazardous chemicals arising from tobacco and tobacco products, aflatoxins, alchool, drugs and   pesticides transferring  to the breast mik and  threating  the baby  health and all degradation products of those materials. It can be provided that mother filter her milk with this  specific device which is used to absorb  harmful substances in the breast  milk.
