Panel on Graded Arbitration Agreements and Mediation in Arbitration School

The ninth of Arbitration School panels series organized by Marmara University Law Faculty International Private Law Department and Istanbul Arbitration Center (ISTAC) and moderated by Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Erkan of Marmara University Law of Faculty  and ISTAC Secretary General Att. Yasin Ekmen  was held on 26th June, 2019, at Haydarpaşa Campus of Marmara University.

“Graded Arbitration Agreements and Mediation-Arbitration” was discussed in the panel. The panel focused on graded arbitration agreements and mediation-arbitration practices.

Academician Ayşe İpek Sarıöz Büyükalp of Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Law , Att. Doğuhan Uygun from Paksoy Law Office, Assoc. Prof.  Hatice Selin Pürselim Arning of Marmara University and Att. Dilek Yumrutaş from Nature Bureau participated in the program as a panelist. The panel was followed by practitioners, academics and students who were working in the field.

During the panel, Head of the Department of International Private Law of Marmara University Prof. Dr. Sibel Özel and Prof. Dr. Ziya Akıncı of Galatasaray University gave a speech on Mediation and Arbitration.

The panels series on “Arbitration School” will continue to meet with the participants after the month of September 2019.

The Arbitration School covers different aspects of arbitration by bringing together arbitration practitioners and academicians from different levels of experience. Arbitration School panels series are held on the last Wednesday of each month between 18:00 and 21:15 in the Marmara University Haydarpaşa Campus. The panel will  be expected to continue for four years. The papers presented in September-June period will be published as a volume.
