Heart  Surgery  Was Broadcasted Live From Marmara University Hospital To Doyens.

At the  greatest  Cardiothoracic Congress of the World held in Italy in this year, 4  surgeries that thousand doctors  watched  in real time were  performed at Marmara University, in Turkey.

At the 28.Europe Cardiothoracic Congress which held  in Milano, Italy  in  this year and gathered  the world- wide known  Cardiovascular surgeons, 4  surgeries which thousand doctors watched through  a live broadcast were performed  at Marmara university in Turkey.  Successful operations of the Turkish doctors leaved their  mark on the congress. Breast Wall Deformity Surgeries that performed  by the  Turkish doctors and surgeons coming from Denmark  at Marmara University, Pendik Training and Research Hospital was watched in real time at the congress.

Prof.Dr. Mustafa Yüksel, who is Head of Pendik Training and Research Hospital Breast Surgeon Department of Marmara University and performed the surgery said that “Performing of the surgeries in Turkey shows the point we reached  in berast surgery. Turkey competed for the world  in the breast surgery   with its  human resources, used technologies and  getting success. We are so  happy in the name of our country.” Prof.Dr.Yüksel also said Turkey was choosen for the first time for the surgeries  which  are watched in broadcast live  in every year at the Europe Breast Cardiothoracic Congress held in Milano. Yüksel  said "Congress participants were  very much interested in this broadcast live from İstanbul and   continued his speech like that “five thousand Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon around the world participated to the congress.  Three surgery  which I performed  in Pendik Training and Research Hospital of Marmara University and  one surgery which our Denmark colleague Prof.Hans Pilegaard performed  in our hospital were broadcasted live. Our patients are from Turkey. All of them were  very pleased. I won high praises from  everyone that I meet in Milano and anybody  who watched the operations".

Prof.Dr. Akın Eraslan Balcı, who is head of Thoracic Surgery of Firat University Hospital and participated at the congress said that he was very honored about  Turkish doctors  performing  the surgeries, which Word Cardiothoracic Doctors  watched them via satellite connection from Pendik Training and Research Hospital. Balcı said the participants could  get answers immediately  from the operation team  when they asked questions and such a broadcast is the first  for Turkey.
