In the " European Universities Championship" held in Zagreb, Croatia, between 20-23 July 2023, with the participation of 395 universities and 1534 athletes from 31 countries, Marmara  University team won a total of 11 medals, 4 gold, 1 silver and 6 bronze, in Karate and Taekwondo branches, and became the third among all teams participating in the championship and the first among teams from Turkey.

In addition, our Taekwondo team achieved historical success and became the European champion with 4 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals for the first time and brought this important cup to our university.

In the European Championships held between universities in 2023, our university rose to first place among universities in Turkey after the degrees it received in this championship.
