Our University's Success in TÜBİTAK 2242 University Students Research Project Competitions

Within the 2021 TUBITAK 2242 University Students Research Project Competition, 3 projects carried out under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Muhammet Uzun of the Department of Textile Engineering qualified to compete in the final and 1 project was deemed worthy of an award in the final.

Projects carried out in Istanbul Textile Research R&D and Innovation Center (ITAM) and Textile Engineering Laboratories are as follow:

1- Zeynep Çil and Naz Kadınkız in food and agriculture branch: Waste Based Fibrillary Biodegradable Soil Cover (Award-winning project).

2- MERT TAŞ in Healthcare branch: Production of Nanocomposite Flexible Strain Sensor for Health Monitoring Applications and Investigation of the Shielding Properties of Produced Nanocomposites,

3- Berra Aka and Ayşe İrem Zengin in the smart city and transportation branch: Developing a Composite Wall Paper Containing Hemp and Natural Waste in Heat and Sound Insulation.
