Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ankara  Hazar  Ibrahim Spoke About His Country's Foreign Policy

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ankara Hazar Ibrahim attended the meeting on "Foreign Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" at Sultanahmet Complex.

Ambassador Hazar  Ibrahim, describing factors that affect Azerbaijan's foreign policy, Turkey-Azerbaijan relations have been progressing in the "brotherhood" line, he said. Ambassador Ibrahim touched on Azerbaijan's foreign policy strategy and the factors that affect its domestic and foreign policy at the meeting.

Rector of Marmara University Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar stated that Azerbaijan's foreign policy is based on the principles that contribute to world peace and that it follows a foreign policy favoring peace rather than war and reconciliation rather than conflict. Özvar also added that the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan are extremely good and friendly level continued.

Marmara University Institute of Turkic Studies Director Prof.  Dr. Okan Yeşilot made a speech at the event.

Ambassador Ibrahim said that Azerbaijan's foreign policy was determined by its people as well as the country's resources and  Azerbaijan has confidence in its human potential. Pointing out that its geography has an impact on politics, he said that Azerbaijan is one of the most important positions in the world in many areas.

Expressing that the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijani are founded on the solid basis of brotherly, İbrahim underlined that Azerbaijani was among the countries providing the largest support for the Peace Spring Operation conducted by Turkey. Recording the Republic of  Azerbaijan and its people was on Turkey’s side state, "Azerbaijani government was one of three countries supporting Turkey officially” he said.

Ibrahim said that Armenia, which occupies 20 percent of Azerbaijan's territory, is one of the factors that affect foreign policy, and emphasized that an unoccupied Azerbaijan could be in a different direction than today with its own energy and excitement. Ibrahim said Armenia's land occupation reflected in the relations between the great states and Azerbaijan.
