After the one’s minute silence, the ceremony began with Turkish and Azerbaijani National Anthems, which was held in the Arts and Sciences Faculty Conference Hall for the memory of those who passed away. President of the Marmara University Student Council Hüseyin Özer made an opening speech.  After the opening speech, Azerbaijan Reformist Youth Association Turkic World Department Vice President İsmail Hakkı Şener, President of the Azerbaijan Reformist Youth Ferit Şahbazlı and MU Vice Rector Prof. Recep Bozlağan made their speeches.  After Azerbaijan Parliamentarians Elşən Musayev and Eldəniz Səlimov's speeches, President of the Student Council and Vice Rector Prof. Recep Bozlağan presented the plaques to spokespeople.
