Marmara University participated in the "EAIE 2023 Conference and Exhibition", the most important and largest international education conference in Europe, held in Rotterdam, Netherlands between 25-29 September 2023. The 33rd EAIE 2023 Conference and Exhibition, organized by the European Association for International Education (EAIE), hosted more than 6700 participants from more than 100 countries. Many higher education institutions from Turkey also participated individually and within the "Study in Turkey" pavilion in the "EAIE Annual Conference & Expo" event, which is held in a different city in Europe every year.
On the occasion of this event, participants had the opportunity to participate in seminars, workshops and network development events on different topics in the field of internationalization and higher education. In addition to university promotional activities, one-on-one meetings were also provided with thousands of participants from different parts of the world.
In order to increase Marmara University's academic collaborations and international projects (Erasmus+ KA131, KA171 and KA2 etc.), bilateral meetings were held with more than 200 institutions from different countries such as Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Philippines, Serbia, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Qatar, Indonesia, Peru, Brazil, Thailand, Taiwan, Dominican Republic, China, Japan and Malaysia.
In the meetings held by Marmara University at the "EAIE 2023" conference, the focus was on issues such as strengthening existing collaborations by coming together with partners again, increasing quotas for student and staff exchange, increasing the visibility and awareness of Marmara University in the international arena by developing new international collaborations, increasing the number of KA171 and KA2 projects and introducing the institution in the international education World.
