Marmara University personnel was received training given by instructors appointed by Afad Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Disaster and Emergency and in the scope of the training, the related issues were share around the questions such like “What is a disaster?, How does an earthquake occur?, What are the measures taken before a disaster? Why is the first 72 hours important after an earthquake?  and How can we protect ourselves and our family members?. In 2015, 662 university personnel and 162 students received disaster preparedness trainings and in 2016, 576 personnel received training in the scope of “Disaster Preparedness Trainings”. Moreover, 486 personnel received fire safety training in 2016. The trainings will be held at regular intervals.
