Marmara University Attended the Colloquium on "Teaching French as a Spoken Language"


The Colloquium on Teaching French as a Spoken Language -  2019 (CIEFP) took place on October 24-25, 2019,  at the University of Rouen Normandy, France.

The colloquium that was held in the city of Rouen, France, was organized with the collaboration of Marmara University, Istanbul University, Istanbul French Teaching Association and Rouen University Normandy.

In the event, it was talked about the language of speech, which is constantly changing and transforming by nature, different perspectives in language teaching and norms that are thought to be neglected.  The ideas on the epistemology, concepts, teaching of French as a language of speech, the use of French in educational materials and classroom activities, the importance of French in language teaching policies and French teacher training programs were also exchanged during the event.

The first of the colloquium was held in 2016, with the collaboration of  Marmara University, Department of French Language Teaching and Istanbul French Language Teaching Association. The papers of the event were published in the Journal of Innovation in Education, Institute of Educational Sciences, Istanbul.

The colloquium was attended by a large number of academics, researchers and also including French Teachers from Turkey, France, Belgium, Tunisia, Canada, Spain, Algeria, Morocco, Switzerland, and  Italy.  Marmara University, İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Boğaziçi University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Paris Yunus Emre Institute, SEV American College and İstanbul French Teachers Association attended to represent Turkey in that event.
