Developed by Professor Yusuf Kaynak from the Faculty of Technology Department of Mechanical Engineering and includes American and German researchers within the scope of the study published in CIRP Annals Manufacturing Technology, which is the most respected magazine in the field of manufacturing in the world, the “numerical model” has been added as a phase transformation model of manufacturing processes (such as forging, rolling and machining) to an American-origin finite element analysis engineering software, which is used by more than 510 industrial companies and more than 130 universities around the world.
Professor Kaynak was invited to make the opening speech of the user meeting that is organized annually and attended by industrial companies and universities from the many countries of the world using this finite element software. At the meeting held on the online platform, Professor Kaynak, who was also invited to the meeting to introduce his model, mentioned issues such as the adaptation of the model to the engineering software, how it should be used in the software, analysis, and interpretation of the results.
We congratulate our academician and wish him continued success.
