The talk on “Understanding of Science and Scientist”, in which Prof. Dr. Nasrullah Hacımüftüoğlu took part as a guest, was held on May 12, 2022 in İbrahim Üzümcü Conference Hall, Marmara University.

The event was attended by the former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and Member of the Presidency High Advisory Board İsmail Kahraman, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Vices Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Akgiray and Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut, Advisor to the Rector Lect. Dr.  Uğur Serencam, Secretary-General Dr. Murat Arısal and members of the university senate and a large audience.

In the conversation moderated by Lect. Dr. Büşra Durmuş,  Prof. Dr. Nasrullah Hacımüftüoğlu said: "There is no science without wisdom, the soul is the upper concept of the mind, conscience and heart. The only being with the soul is the man and only man can be a scholar. Of course, not everyone who is a scholar can be a scholar. There is no science without a human. Science is a higher concept. A scholar is a person devoted to science. All sciences have only one goal - absolute truth”. The event ended after the participants' questions were answered and a plaque was presented.
