Jean Monnet Module Project Support for Our  Population and Social Policies Research Center

The project titled "Social Policies in Europe: Challenges and Opportunities Ahead", to be carried out under the coordination of Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Fatih Aysan, Director of the Marmara University Population and Social Policy Research Center,  was entitled to be supported under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module.

In the project, which will continue for 3 years,  Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Fatih Aysan, Prof. Dr. Talip Kucukcan, Prof. Dr. Nuri Tinaz, Lect. Dr. Aslıhan Nişancı, Lect. Dr.  Ayşe Yetiş Bayraktar, Lect. Dr . M. Tahir Guide and Lect. Dr. Zübeyir Nişancı will took place.

The "Social Policies in Europe: Challenges and Opportunities Ahead" project aims to contribute to the development of Turkey-EU relations by encouraging and facilitating the improvement of the EU's social policies in Turkey. The main aim of the project is to raise awareness about the contribution of the EU as a global actor to social policy making in Turkey.

In order to achieve the objectives of the project, it is aimed to organize courses where students will have the opportunity to choose the European Union Module courses focusing on changing social policies in Europe, contemporary challenges, risks to European social policies and population. The results of the courses will be combined with seminars, workshops held throughout the project and student seminars at the end of each term, where students can present their research papers. The aim of the workshops is to bring together university students, academics, policy makers and experts to foster constructive discussions on social policies in Europe.
