The ceremony began with speeches of the Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Ergün Yıldırım and Head of the Department of Cinema Prof. Zeynep Çetin Erus.

14th Marmara Communication Short Film Festival being held as contest in previous years became a festival this year and 240 films around the country applied the festival. Among 240 films, 16 film distinguished and went on to the finals. This year, jury members of the contest became Director Derviş Zaim, Scenarist Ercan Kesal, Cinematographer Deniz Eyüboğlu, Musician Serdar Ateşer, Academician Esra Biryıldız, Actor Mert Fırat and Academican Zeynep Çetin Erus. Festival awards found the owners in the categories of “Audience Award”, “Best Original Music”, “Best Actor/Actress”, “Best Cinematographer”, “Best Movie”, “Best Scenario” and “Jury Special Award”. After the award ceremony, cocktail was held with accompany of live trio music recital.

Best Original Music:  Ben Tsubasayım- Director Bilal Korkut- Music Oktay Şahin

Best Actor/Actress: Yedi Santimetre - Director Metehan Şereflioğlu- Actor Özgür Molla Lütfi

Lütfi - Director Cahit Kaya Demir- Actor Levent Öktem

Best Cinematographer: Seneye- Director Hasan Gündüz- Cinematographer Yağız Yavru

Best Movie: 12 Saat- Director Ercan Selim Öngöz

Best Scenario: Yedi Santimetre- Director and Scenarist Metehan Şereflioğlu

Jury Special Award: Tecahül-i Arif- Director Hasan Kalender
